竊盜集團偷到裝置衛星定位（ＧＰＳ）的車子敗露行跡，嘉義市警方在後湖工業區「允晟」廢棄車輛解體廠，逮捕主嫌蘇子乾及六名黨羽，查扣五輛贓車及大批拆卸後的零件；蘇嫌犯坦承五日凌晨在台中市偷了三輛轎車，警方根據研判該集團犯下的汽車竊案不計其數，正擴大偵辦。
駕駛國產休旅車的車主，五日凌晨二時回家將車子停放在台中市區停車格，清晨六點發現車子被偷，循ＧＰＳ追蹤器發現車子行駛在高速公路上，嘉義警方獲報，九點前往後湖工業區查緝，發現工廠四周大門深鎖，內部還有電鋸作業聲，嫌犯見員警上門，一哄而散，廿多位警力翻牆入內，四十一歲的蘇嫌駕車欲逃竄，警方朝車輛右前輪開槍，射破輪胎，另一員警還用槍托擊碎駕駛座前方擋風玻璃，眼見逃逸無門，蘇嫌才乖乖就逮。
